My mom is doing well. She is recognizing people, smiling when she sees us, and giving us a thumbs up! We are still worried about her lungs and fluid inside of it but the x-rays says that they are improving.
The funny thing is whenever I am in the room when they do a neuro check (checking to see her movement) she sometimes will not move her feet. So I will tell her "mom point her toes" and she will do it! Then " mom kick" or mom do a touch up" or "toe heel toe heel" and she does it.
So we are still in for a long haul and we still will have some dark roads ahead but it was nice to see some good things today.
Colleen :)
Hello Colleen,
ReplyDeleteThis is the Martin family and we just wanted to let you know that we are very thankful for the updates online. It's nice to be able to know how June is doing. You are in our daily thoughts and prayers and we are glad that Irish Dance is playing a part in your mother's recovery.
Love,
The Martins (Deb, Bill, Erin, Ian, and Molly)
We have you all in our thoughts & prayers. So glad you did this so we do not have to rely on phone calls & wondering. May God's peace be with all of you & His wisdom be with the Dr.s & surgeons.
ReplyDeleteYou are in our prayers,
Sandi & Fred Duncan (coffee Fred)
